Easter Lily Sale
Each year, Kingwood Methodist Church offers the opportunity to purchase a lily in memory or honor of a loved one. These flowers are then used to decorate our worship areas for Easter. Our plants are purchased from Brookwood Community in Brookshire.
Sunday, March 24th
Palm Sunday celebrates Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem and begins what has historically been called Passion Week or Holy Week in the Christian faith. Passion refers to the events of the week in Jesus’ life that include the last supper, betrayal, arrest, beatings, suffering carrying his own cross to his crucifixion, death, and being laid in a tomb. We call the day Palm/Passion Sunday because Palm Sunday begins the journey of Holy Week.
Thursday, March 28th | 7:30pm | the Vine
Friday, March 29th | 7:30pm | the Commons
Our Good Friday Service will be led by our traditional music ministry.
During the Good Friday service, our K-5th graders can experience an interactive walk through Holy Week, highlighting major events during Jesus’ last days on earth.
