Coming off of a significant period of silence in the voice of God, he speaks, not with a loud prophetic voice, but with a brilliant light, the light of the World. What the people wanted was a voice, but what God gave them was far greater. God would enter their world as a light that would illuminate the silence and would call us to be a reflection of that same light.
