Monthly Missions Opportunities
Each month, the missions committee brings a ministry to the congregation’s attention to support. We prayerfully choose organizations in need of funding that will also provide service opportunities through which we can experience and share the love of Christ.
February Monthly Mission Opportunity: Boundless Mercy
Boundless Mercy, a prayer-based anti-trafficking ministry in northeast Houston for over 12 years, launched the non-profit Ark Bakery & Café to fund outreach work against human trafficking. The Ark produces baked goods, including our Communion bread, to support their mission. With over 300,000 estimated trafficking victims in Texas, the ministry focuses on bringing hope and new beginnings to sex industry workers. They seek volunteers to help prepare meals and write encouraging notes. The partnership with KMC is crucial for the ministry’s growth, and funds for February will support Boundless Mercy’s work.
