Monthly Missions Opportunities

Each month, the missions committee brings a ministry to the congregation’s attention to support. We prayerfully choose organizations in need of funding that will also provide service opportunities through which we can experience and share the love of Christ.

March Monthly Mission Opportunity: Joy in the Harvest

Our MMO for March and April is Joy in the Harvest in Tanzania. Over the past 20 years of our mission partnership, we have seen God do incredible things through these projects. In 2009 we “raised the roof” on a community center that has become the central gathering place for the community and has fed thousands of kids. We have helped fund and build a radio tower to proclaim the gospel over the air and a repeater tower in 2021 to extend that signal. We have financed and written a curriculum for a technical computer school that has been running and equipping people for 12 years. We have served on medical teams to bring much-needed healthcare to the community and so much more.

This year God is leading us to help start an apprenticeship program in wood and metalworking so that locals can be discipled in Christ while being equipped for a sustainable future. The project is estimated to cost $20,000 to build and equip the shop. We will take a team to Tanzania in August to help erect the structure and bless the space and ministry that will fill the space. Would you join us financially and/or physically in this endeavor?
