SUPPORT OUR MEAL PACKING EVENT
On Sunday, October 4th, our KMC community will gather in the Commons to pack meals for Mission of Hope in Haiti. Despite ongoing social and political instability, MOH continues to faithfully share the love of Christ by providing life-saving meals, medical care, education, and the hope of the Gospel.
We’ll also celebrate World Communion Sunday with combined worship services as our entire church family gathers together as one. What a fitting day to unite not only in worship, but also in our shared mission of serving our neighbors around the world.
Monthly Missions Opportunities
Each month, the missions committee brings a ministry to the congregation’s attention to support. We prayerfully choose organizations in need of funding that will also provide service opportunities through which we can experience and share the love of Christ.
October Monthly Mission Opportunity: Oaks of Righteousness
Every woman deserves the opportunity to experience the hope and transforming love of Christ. Oaks of Righteousness walks alongside women who are rebuilding their lives after incarceration by providing a safe home, biblical discipleship, recovery support, life-skills training, and a caring community that encourages lasting change. Their ministry begins even before release through prison Bible studies and relationships that remind women they are not forgotten and that a new beginning is possible. By meeting spiritual, emotional, and practical needs, Oaks of Righteousness is helping break the cycle of incarceration and restoring lives through the power of faith.
This October, we invite you to partner with Oaks of Righteousness through your prayers, financial support, and by learning more about their ministry. Together, we can help offer hope, healing, and a fresh start to women seeking a life transformed by Christ.
Local Missions
Angel Reach
Angel Reach is a faith-based nonprofit organization located in Conroe, TX, that helps youth ages 16-24 achieve their full potential in spite of the obstacles placed on them by broken families.
Bordersville Community Center
We’re partnering with the Bordersville Community Center by investing in the ministry of presence. We invest our time to sit and fellowship, to celebrate birthdays, to lead devotionals, and to share cake and ice cream with our neighbors.
Feed My Lambs
A year-round ministry, providing lunches to elderly, disabled, and low income residents of White Oak Apt. in Porter, TX. Meals are provided at no charge, without regard to age, race, religion, or gender.
Foster Elementary Mentorship
Provides consistent mentoring opportunities for elementary-aged kids through Foster Elementary School. The goal is to show the love of Christ to students through consistent presence and care. Mentors are trained and matched up with a student identified by the administration. Get connected with Foster Elementary Mentoring.
Oaks of Righteousness
A non-profit, faith-based, residential facility that offers support for female ex-offenders who desire to make positive life changes and become productive members of society.
Oasis Foster & Adoptive Care
Their mission is to serve and love vulnerable children and foster/adoptive families in the NE Houston area. Support includes assistance with home study, initial placement, respite care, and Parent’s Night Out.
Society of St Stephen
Provides food, clothing and limited financial assistance with utilities and medication to residents in our Service Area at no cost to the client. Back to school supplies and holiday help are special events for SOSS.
Regional Missions
Boundless Mercy
A prayer-based, anti-trafficking ministry that has been reaching out to sex industry workers in northeast Houston for over 12 years. They founded the Ark Bakery & Café, which helps fund and raise awareness by selling baked goods and frozen entrées.
FLIPT
Flipt is a local mission for completed 6th-8th graders. The students work outside on local pre-selected home sites in Kingwood and Humble. At night, the students attend worship and stay on campus at KMC with adult volunteers.
J's House
J’s House is dedicated to meeting the needs of children in Texas foster care, serving as a 24-hour group home providing stabilization and treatment to children who have experienced emotional trauma. They plan to open their first home in northeast Houston, caring for up to 12 boys, ages 8-12.
Methodist Children's Home
Serves children and youth through residential programs on the Waco campus and MCH Boys Ranch, and transition services, foster care, as well as a variety of community-based programs. Each year, KMC supports MCH through financial donations and helps some of the youth attend a UMARMY camp.
Methodist Retirement Communities
Methodist Retirement Communities (MRC) provide quality, faith-based, mission-driven housing and services to senior adults. They believe common barriers to aging well are loneliness, boredom, and helplessness, which is best described as a lack of purpose.
Prison Ministries
Offering the love of Christ to incarcerated men and women through weekly studies, prayer and share, mentoring, Kairos, Jubilee, and Epiphany programs.
UM Army
United Methodist Reachout Mission by Youth helps youth and adults experience Christian growth through service to others. Participants meet home repair and maintenance needs for those who are physically or financially unable to make needed repairs themselves.
Global Missions
Joy in the Harvest
A Christian mission working in Tanzania, Africa. KMC helps support feeding programs, healing needs, and JOY radio station through financial donations and mission trips.
Mission of Hope, Haiti
Exists to bring life transformation through the good news of Jesus Christ to every man, woman, and child in Haiti. They accomplish this goal by providing education, meals, clean water, outreach medical clinics, pastoral training, and community development. Their in-country leadership is predominantly Haitian and their efforts change lives daily.

Applications will be reviewed confidentially by a Disaster Relief Fund committee, who will contact you within one week of receiving your application. If you or someone you know needs volunteer help to restore your home, please contact the church office.
