Music Ministry

Kingwood Methodist Church has a rich music ministry for people of all ages!

Romans 12:2 says, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.

We invite you to come share in the psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs as part of the music ministry at KMC.

Music opportunities for children

The children’s music ministry is a team effort, combining our excellent children’s and music ministries. We offer pre-school and elementary aged children a weekly opportunity to build friendships, to learn choral singing skills, and to express their love for God through music and fellowship.

Musikgarten

Musikgarten, an internationally recognized program in early childhood music and movement, has a long-standing reputation as the leader in the field of affordable early music education. KMC is happy to announce we will be offering Musikgarten classes for infants through preschool-aged children.

Jesus and Music (JAM)

The JAM program at Kingwood Methodist Church is a wonderful way to learn about worshipping God and expressing our faith through Music. Meeting in conjunction with The Table, the rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings at 6:00pm.

Instrumental opportunities for adults

Orchestra

During regular worship services and for concerts, orchestras and instrumental ensembles are utilized. We provide opportunities for volunteers and professionals to offer their gifts to God. If you are interested in joining our instrumental program, please contact Matt Robinson.

The King's Ringers

Our all-volunteer handbell choir offers the opportunity for individuals to worship God through music by the playing of handbells. Throughout the year our handbell choir provides music for selected worship services. Do you love music and have a passion to share their faith through the ringing of handbells? If so, contact Matt Robinson for more details.

Foundation Brass

KMC is blessed to have several church members and friends who play brass instruments, including trumpet, french horn, trombone, and tuba. The Foundation Brass plays intermittently, as available.
