Prayer Ministry

|

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:6-7

We believe in the power of prayer!

Prayer at Kingwood Methodist

Weekly Prayer

“They all met together and were constantly united in prayer, along with Mary, the mother of Jesus, several other women, and the brothers of Jesus.”  Acts 1:14

Every Tuesday morning from 10:00am- 12:00pm, a group gathers in room E206 to pray for the needs of Kingwood Methodist Church, the global Church, the community, and concerns for the nation. This time of prayer is open to anyone desiring to join in the prayers. For more information, please contact Genie Pearce.

Prayer Chapel

A quiet place located outside the Sanctuary to pray and reflect during operating hours. Intercessors are available to pray with you on Sunday mornings during each service and offer communion (except the first Sunday of the month).

Prayer Garden

In the heart of our campus is a prayer garden that brings opportunities for reflection and peaceful worship.

Prayer Shawls

Our Prayer Shawl Ministry exists to provide comforting and prayed-over reminders of God’s love. These shawls are available through our office anytime and in worship the third Sunday of every other month.

All are welcome to join the ministry to help create shawls. We can supply yarn, advice, and instructions to get you started. Participants do not need to be a member of this church to be part of the ministry. All completed shawls can be dropped off at the Welcome Desk or Church Office.

We meet on Wednesdays from 1:30-3:00 pm in The Commons by the Music Department. Meeting participation is not required.

For more information, please email Chris Lippincott.
